8.png

Genevieve Morriss, Senior Director at Change Healthcare, sits down with Mrinal Bhasker and David Finney to discuss:
1. Information blocking
2. Individual access
3. Ethical uses of data, not just legal uses
4. How do you stand out in the noise as a patient-centric app?
5. ONC Strategy

Genevieve is a health IT policy wonk who leads Change Healthcare’s clinical interoperability strategy development for the clinical networks team. Prior to joining Change Healthcare, Genevieve worked as an independent contractor for a number of health IT companies, helping them understand the health IT regulatory landscape and build product roadmaps to meet the needs of individuals across the healthcare ecosystem. Genevieve also served as the Principal Deputy National Coordinator, supporting the development of the information blocking regulation. She also developed the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement (TEFCA) policy. Genevieve also served as the Chief Health Information Officer for the VA’s Office of EHR Modernization.

They also touch on the need for accurate provider data, something Leap Orbit is working on with Convergent, our Provider Directory API as a Service.
